Can You Download Instagram Stories?
Why Stories are different from posts, and the honest ways to keep one.
Stories disappear after 24 hours and Instagram only shows them to logged-in viewers. That's why public download tools, including ours, can't fetch them.
Saving your own Stories
- Open your story and tap ••• → Save to keep the video.
- Or turn on Archive (Settings → Archiving and downloading) so every story is kept privately.
- Add the best ones to a Highlight on your profile.
Someone else's Story
Ask the creator to send you the clip. Many creators also repost their best Story videos as Reels, which can be downloaded.
